The Koelz Textile Collection The Museum has a large collection of textiles collected in the early 1930's by Dr. Walter Koelz. These fine pieces document the sophisticated textile arts of South and Central Asia and Iran. Included in the collection are embroidered woolen shawls from Kashmir and the Delhi/Jaipur region, as well as embroidered cotton sheets, turbans and shawls from Amritsar (Punjab), and various garments from Bombay and Kahore.
